Visa Application

CACRE 2027 will be held in Beijing, China. Foreign participants (except those who are eligible for visa-free entry) are required to obtain a Chinese visa before traveling to China. Please check the latest visa policy for your nationality and apply at the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate.

Visa-Free Entry Policy

China has implemented visa-free entry policies for citizens of numerous countries. As of 2025, passport holders from the following categories may enter China without a visa for a stay of up to 30 days (or 15 days for some nationalities):

1. Visa-Free for up to 30 days: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, etc.

2. Visa-Free for up to 15 days: Brunei, Japan, Qatar, etc.

3. 72/144-Hour Transit Visa Exemption: Available for 54 countries including USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, etc. This allows transit through Beijing (and other designated cities) without a visa for up to 144 hours. A valid onward ticket to a third country is required.

4. Hainan Visa-Free Entry: Available for 59 countries for group or individual travel.

Note: Visa-free policies are subject to change. Please verify the latest requirements with the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your country before making travel arrangements.

 

Invitation Letters

1. The invitation letter will be issued after the successful registration.

2. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.

3. Please note CACRE Conference and the organizing committees of the conference are not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Invitation Letter issued by CACRE Conferences organizing committee. Should your application be denied, CACRE Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will CACRE Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.

4. It takes around one month for the Embassy to process the VISA application, please register as early as you can to make sure you have enough time.

Visa Application Process

Step 1: Complete the registration and payment for CACRE 2027.

Step 2: Request an official invitation letter from the conference secretary via email.

Step 3: Fill in the Chinese visa application form online at https://www.visaforchina.cn/ or the Chinese Embassy/Consulate website in your country.

Step 4: Submit the visa application form, invitation letter, passport (valid for at least 6 months with blank visa pages), passport photo, and other required documents to the Chinese Embassy/Consulate.

Step 5: Pay the visa fee and collect your visa.

 

Required Documents

1. Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and blank visa pages.

2. Completed visa application form (COVA form) with a recently-taken color passport photo (48mm x 33mm, white background, full face).

3. Invitation letter from CACRE 2027 conference (for business/conference visa - M or F visa).

4. Round-trip flight itinerary and hotel reservation.

5. Additional documents may be required depending on your nationality and visa type. Please check with the Chinese Embassy/Consulate for details.

 

Important Notes

1. Please apply for your visa at least one month before your planned departure date.

2. Make sure all information on your application form matches your passport exactly.

3. The visa processing time is typically 4-7 working days (expedited service may be available for an additional fee).

4. The conference organizing committee can only provide invitation letters and cannot guarantee visa approval.
